Clothing Closet
The thrift store-like environment of our clothing closet offers our neighbors the dignity of a shopping experience to obtain gently-used clothes, shoes, outerwear, and household items.
- Our Thrift Store is currently open by appointment on Tuesdays and the last Thursday of each month from 9-11:30 am & 1-3:30 pm.
- For appointments please call 816-581-4726, Monday- Friday 9am - 3:30pm.
- Store Location: Inside Seton Center at 2816 East 23rd Street, KC, MO.
- Clients within our service area are eligible to shop every 30 days. Clients outside of our service area are eligible to shop up to 3 times a year.
- Donations for the clothing closet come from a variety of groups including the The Ladies of Charity of Metropolitan Kansas City, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and many other groups and individual donors. The Clothing Closet is staffed by The Ladies of Charity of Metropolitan Kansas City and many other individual and group volunteers.

Donations:
Individuals wishing to donate clean and gently used clothing items (no rips, tears, holes or stains) may call 816-231-3955 for information or drop items off between 9:00 A.M. -11:30 A.M. an 1:00 P.M. - 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. In-kind donations made to the Clothing Closet may be tax-deductible. - If you need transportation to or from Seton Center to receive this service, please call 816-481-4701.

Donatinons of clothing can help make a difference in the dignity of the lives of those we serve. We work diligently to keep our clothing closet stocked with clean clothing items, in good, gently used condition (no rips, tears, holes or stains), in multiple sizes to serve all ages of our community. Please note Seton Center DOES NOT accept household items or furniture. Please take a look at our current wish list below.
Most Needed Clothing Closet Items
We are currently accepting Spring/ Summer clothing items and shoes in a good condition (no holes, tears or stains) with a high need for toddler clothes and toddler shoes.
Eligibility to Sign Up for Clothing Closet
- An ID for the head of household (any sort of ID that has name, birthdate and picture)
- Social security card, birth certificate, passport, visa card, 1040 form verifying all other household members (any sort of ID that has name and birthdate)
- Proof of address from the last 30 days (utility bill, leasing agreement, mortgage deed, social security award letter, food stamp award letter, hospital bill, unemployment letter, check stub, bank statement)
